OK folks – here’s the plan.

We are forming a charitable trust to acquire the Old Spotted Dog. Then – using all our powers of persuasion – we will bring the building back to its former splendour. The plan is then to bring in an experienced publican to run the pub on a leasehold basis, conditions of the lease including stipulations on its management (we have found and talked to people who would be extremely happy to do this).

In the meantime we are (hmm hmm) dogged by a lack of information so it’s difficult to build a case for all this – we can only really go ahead if there is significant local interest. Please take a moment to fill in this survey to give us a better idea of what you’d like to see in the new pub. It should take 3 minutes or less to fill in.

There are questions about ethnicity/address etc at the beginning. We only use it to judge the possible demographic of customers and how far people will travel. We won’t pass on your data.
