Save the Old Spotted Dog got out in the sunshine, blinking under the blue sky of July 2015’s Forest Gate Festival – meeting old friends, making new ones, painting faces, sharing memories of the Dog, spreading the word, eating cakes and watermelon (not at the same time you understand) from fellow stall holders, grooving to the live music (yeah, ok, some of us are old enough to remember when that verb was common parlance) and generally soaking up the atmosphere of a delightful and diverse event. Oh yes, we also raised a couple of hundred quid for the cause – for which thanks to everyone who contributed both in time and dosh to an enjoyable and productive day!
