When was the last time you saw a major national newspaper run a piece on a non-League football club?

Well, possibly Friday September 15 2015, when the Guardian ran a half page feature on the second age of its Sport supplement favourably reporting on Clapton FC (with several namechecks for the ‘Old Spotted Dog ground’) and its most vociferous supporters – the ironically named “ultras”:  Anti fascist, anti xenophobe, and anti sexist.

All values close to our hearts at the Dog Trust.  So we welcome proposals from our friends at Clapton FC to do a voluntary ‘clean up’ of the Dog site before their home game on Saturday November 14.  If you’re around the area about midday you’d be most welcome to join in – and maybe engage with a lunchtime refreshment in the nearby Red House (also good friends of the Dog campaign).
