Benefit Gig, John Ellis Unplugged at the Red House

Benefit Gig, John Ellis Unplugged at the Red House

Here’s some exciting news – John Ellis, who has a long career in the top flight of performing and songwriting for such bands as The Stranglers, The Vibrators and Peter Gabriel – has agreed to premier material from his new project, The Pinch, at a benefit for our campaign.

So far the campaign has been financially supported by donations from the steering group but now we need to step things up a little – producing promotional materials, paying for meeting venues etc.

John will be ably supported on the double bass by our own Mike Edmonds.

This is a very rare opportunity to see John play acoustically and it’s his first gig with Mike – we’d encourage you to book early as the venue only holds 50.

You can book by clicking through to my website markdmcglynn.co.uk and clicking the ‘Shopping Cart’ button in the right margin  (apparently we’re not allowed to sell things on a WordPress free site)

We’d also like to warmly thank our hosts for the evening, St. Anthony’s Catholic Club, who have kindly donated the venue free of charge.

You can find out more about John and his music here.
